Our Story
Military families serve, move, deploy, and sacrifice. Adoption can bring significant financial and logistical challenges on top of the demands of military life, including agency, legal, travel, home-study, and other adoption-related expenses.
Founded by a U.S. Air Force veteran, Freedom Families Foundation provides post-adoption financial assistance to eligible active-duty military families—helping those who serve build forever families.
How the Process Works
Grant Inquiry
Submit a brief online inquiry so we can learn about your family, military status, and adoption journey.
Eligibility Review
We review the inquiry to determine whether your family appears to meet the foundation’s basic eligibility requirements.
Full Application
Eligible families are invited to complete the grant application and provide documentation of military status, adoption finalization, and qualifying expenses.
Grant Decision
The application and supporting documentation are reviewed, and applicants are notified of the foundation’s decision.
Grant
Payment
Approved grants reimburse eligible adoption-related expenses, helping reduce the financial burden on military families.
